  • How do I register?
    Fill out our online registration form, call either location or visit us today! 905 846-5000 - East 289-544-4000 - South (Either location can assist you regardless of which you'd like to attend) Please note - we cannot hold a spot in our private or group classes without payment.
  • What age should my child be?
    We have programs for for every age and level. For private music - they should know their alphabet from A-G and be able to count to 5. Adult students are also welcome. Our pre-kinder and kinder classes are designed for ages 3-5.
  • Do I need an instrument or art supplies?
    All music students, with the exception of piano, must bring their own instrument to every class. The academy does not provide instruments. Piano students should have a keyboard or piano to practice on at home. All art students need to bring their art supplies to class. Your teacher will make recommendations, and art kits are available for purchase. Some supplies are included in group classes.
  • Do I need books?
    All students, group and private, are required to have a lesson book at each lesson. During the first lesson, the teacher will recommend books based on age and level. A practical and theory book may be required (not included with monthly fee).
  • Payment options
    Payment is required at the time of registration to reserve your spot. Your first payment can be made in person by cash, debit or credit card, or over the phone with a credit card. Monthly payment methods are offered using credit card. We do not offer a month-to-month or bi-weekly option at this time.
  • I missed a class. Can I reschedule?
    Private students - You are entitled to 5 makeup lessons yearly. To qualify for a reschedule, you must notify us by 9am of your lesson day by notifying in person, leave us a voicemail or email. We cannot schedule makeup lessons before the missed lesson. Going to miss more than 5 classes? Ask about our gold membership. Group classes do not offer make-up classes or refunds.
  • How do I change my lesson day or time?
    Call or visit us. A variety of times that suit your schedule are available. *Please note that group classes are offered on a limited schedule.
  • I joined an 8 week class and don't like it. Can I get a refund?
    Our pre-paid programs are non-refundable. Speak with our reception team to see if there is another class available that suits your schedule.
  • Is there a fee to cancel?
    Private lessons and all on-going group music lessons - NO cancellation fee with at least 14 days written notice. All you need to do is visit our reception desk to fill out the cancellation form. For immediate cancellation without 14 days notice, there is a $70 cancellation fee.
  • What are your business hours?
    Our locations are open 2-9pm Mon-Fri & 9am-4pm Sat. Times may vary. Please email or leave a message and someone will get back to you ASAP. If you are calling to report an absence, leave a message and reception will note it in the student file.
  • What if there is a snow storm or lockdown?
    In the event of inclement weather or government mandated lockdowns, all lessons will be moved online at your regularly scheduled time. All students are notified via email. Notices will also be posted on social media pages and our website.
  • Monthly Billing
    At Synergy, we do equal billing for our ongoing private and semi-private lessons. You will receive 49 lessons each year (one per week). We are closed for 2 weeks over the winter break and one week at March Break. These 3 weeks will not be billed. The payment for your 49 lessons will be divided evenly between the 12 months. In the event you stopped classes before the year is up, our admin team will go through and balance your account. This is why we require at least 2 weeks written notice to process your cancellation request.
