Drawing, painting, watercolour, charcoal, mixed media, and sculpting — for curious beginners and serious artists alike. Two Brampton studios, in-studio or online.

At SYNERGY, our art program is built on a simple belief: every student has a visual language waiting to be discovered. Our instructors don't just teach techniques — they teach students to observe, think, and express with confidence. Whether your child has never held a paintbrush or your teen is preparing a university portfolio, the instruction is genuinely tailored to where they are and where they want to go.
Our art students work through a specialized curriculum covering foundational skills across multiple mediums — building a portfolio that reflects their growth over time. And it doesn't end in the studio: SYNERGY students regularly exhibit their finished work at Brampton's premier theatres, giving every artist a real, public audience for their work.
Book a Trial Class →Our curriculum covers the techniques, materials, and foundational skills across six core mediums — so students build genuine versatility alongside depth in their favourite styles.
The foundation of everything. Students learn line, form, proportion, shading, and perspective — skills that directly strengthen work in every other medium. Pencil, graphite, and ink techniques explored at every level.
From beginner colour mixing to advanced layering and texture techniques. Students explore both acrylic and oil painting, developing an eye for composition and a personal style over time.
Transparent, expressive, and beautifully unpredictable. Watercolour lessons build understanding of wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques, colour flow, and control — building confidence through experimentation.
Bold, expressive mark-making with immediate results. Charcoal and pastel work develops a strong sense of tonal value and texture, and is especially effective for portraiture and figure drawing.
Working in three dimensions builds spatial reasoning and problem-solving in ways that drawing alone cannot. Students explore clay, model-building, and mixed sculptural forms at a pace that suits their level.
Some of the most creative work happens when mediums are combined. Mixed media projects encourage experimentation, resourcefulness, and a genuinely personal artistic voice — popular with younger students and portfolio-focused teens.
All formats available at our Brampton studios, with online lessons available for semi-private and portfolio prep students.
Our signature format: small groups of up to 4 students with one instructor, giving each student significant individual attention while keeping lessons affordable and social. Teachers work from SYNERGY's specialized art curriculum, adapting it to each student's preferred style, goals, and current skill level. Portfolio development is included.
The most accessible way to explore art at SYNERGY. Group classes run as 8-week sessions with one hour of instruction per week. Classes explore drawing, sketching, painting, and sculpting in a fun, social setting — a great first step before moving into semi-private lessons.
Applying to a Regional Arts Program or a university art program? Our teachers have successfully prepared students for portfolio interviews with Brampton and GTA RAP programs, as well as university applications. Private one-on-one lessons, focused entirely on your portfolio requirements and interview goals.
SYNERGY art students don't just create in class — they exhibit. Student work is displayed publicly at gallery exhibitions held at Brampton's premier theatres, giving every artist the experience of showing their work in a professional venue.
Research consistently shows that students engaged in the visual arts perform better academically overall. The habits of attention, patience, and creative problem-solving that art builds are transferable to every subject in school — and to life.
Art teaches students that there is no single right answer — building flexible, divergent thinking that carries into math, writing, and science.
Learning to truly see — proportion, perspective, negative space — develops the spatial reasoning that underpins STEM success.
Art takes time and iteration. Students who learn to sit with a piece, step back, and improve it build habits of sustained attention that serve them everywhere.
For many students, art is the first place they feel genuinely proud of something they made. That confidence compounds across every area of life.
