Private acting lessons and musical theatre group classes — taught by skilled, experienced instructors trained in the world's leading acting methods. In-studio and at Paul Palleschi Rec Centre, Brampton.

SYNERGY's drama program is built on a belief that runs through everything we do: theatre skills are life skills. Confidence, presence, empathy, listening, and the courage to be seen — these aren't just things students learn for a performance. They're qualities that shape how young people carry themselves through school, friendships, and every room they walk into.
Our program offers two distinct pathways: private one-on-one acting lessons at the studio for students who want focused, personal instruction, and a group Musical Theatre program held at Paul Palleschi Rec Centre for students who thrive in an ensemble, community-driven setting. Every session ends with a live performance for parents and guests — because nothing finishes the work like a real audience.
See Both Programs →One-on-one with a SYNERGY drama instructor at our studio. Fully tailored to the student — whether they're a complete beginner building confidence, a student preparing a RAP audition monologue, or an intermediate actor deepening their craft. Sessions cover acting technique, character development, scene study, and audition preparation as needed.
An ensemble experience for ages 8–14 combining acting, movement, and singing in a musical theatre format. Held at Paul Palleschi Rec Centre in Brampton, the group program builds community alongside craft — students work together toward a live end-of-session performance for parents and guests. Sessions run for 12–15 weeks during the fall and winter, and 8 weeks in summer.
SYNERGY's drama instruction draws from the same techniques taught in university theatre programs and professional acting schools. Our instructors bring genuine professional experience into every lesson — grounding students in real craft from the very first class.
The bedrock of psychological realism in acting. Students learn to build truthful, motivated characters from the inside out — finding genuine emotional connection to the material rather than surface performance.
Building on Stanislavsky, Method Acting develops a student's ability to fully inhabit a character's psychology and physicality. Practical tools for preparing roles from the ground up — used by actors on stage and on screen.
Adler's approach emphasizes the actor's imagination over personal memory — creating vivid, consistent characters through a deeply developed sense of given circumstances and physical action.
Augusto Boal's methods use theatre as a tool for community-building, empathy, and social awareness. Particularly powerful in group settings — deeply connected to the idea that theatre skills are life skills.
A commitment to truthful, lifelike behaviour on stage. Naturalistic performance training helps students strip away artificial "acting" and discover the simple, real responses that audiences connect with most deeply.
Practical, results-focused preparation for RAP auditions, university drama programs, and competition. Students work on monologue selection and delivery, cold-reading, improvisation, and confidence under pressure.

The Musical Theatre group program at Paul Palleschi Rec Centre is designed as a full arc — from first rehearsal to live curtain call. Here's what students experience across each session.
Warm-ups, games, and exercises that build trust, listening, and physical awareness within the group. Students learn to work as an ensemble — the foundation of everything that follows.
Students explore their roles, develop characters, work on scenes and musical numbers, and begin shaping the performance. Acting technique, movement, and vocal delivery are woven throughout.
The group moves into full run-throughs, refining timing, transitions, and stagecraft. Students build the confidence to perform — not just in the room, but in front of a live audience.
Every session closes with a performance for families and invited guests. A real audience, a real curtain call, and a genuine sense of achievement — something no classroom exercise can replicate.
Grade 8 students auditioning for Regional Arts Programs in drama need more than talent — they need prepared monologues, confident improvisation, and the ability to take direction under pressure. Our instructors have extensive experience coaching students through successful RAP and university drama auditions.
Auditions for Brampton RAP programs typically take place in January. We recommend beginning preparation in the fall — ask us about private lesson availability.

The abilities developed in drama class don't stay on stage. Every skill a student builds through theatre training transfers directly into how they move through the world.
Standing in front of an audience — even a small one — builds the kind of self-assurance that changes how students carry themselves in classrooms, interviews, and beyond.
Good acting is mostly listening. Students who learn to truly hear their scene partners develop exceptional attentiveness in every conversation they have.
Inhabiting other characters builds genuine empathy. Drama students learn to see the world from perspectives very different from their own — a skill that shapes how they treat people.
Voice work, projection, and physical communication training make students clearer and more confident speakers in every context — presentations, interviews, and everyday conversations.
Improvisation training teaches students to respond quickly, stay calm under pressure, and find solutions in the moment. It's one of the most transferable skills drama builds.
Theatre is inherently collective. Students learn to rely on each other, support each other, and create something together that none of them could build alone.
"My son was incredibly shy before he started drama at SYNERGY. Within one session he was performing in front of an audience and beaming with pride. The difference in his confidence — at school, at home, everywhere — has been remarkable."
"SYNERGY helped my daughter prepare her monologue for her RAP audition at Mayfield. The program knew exactly what the audition was looking for and got her truly ready. She got in on her first try and couldn't be more excited."
"The musical theatre program is the highlight of our daughter's week. She comes home singing, acting out scenes, and talking about her friends in the group. Watching her perform at the end of the session was one of the proudest moments we've had as parents."
